Gwendolyn, Month Nine
Gwendolyn's stats:
19 lbs, 3.6 oz (56th percentile)
28.25 inches tall (72nd percentile)
17.25-inch head (44th percentile)
Well, Gwendolyn has officially been in the world longer than she in my womb. Most of the time, she seems to like it out here. She loves laughing and pulling up on things. She's can crawl easily now, though she isn't as quick as Latham was as this age. She just seems to comfortably get where she wants to be. She is MUCH more interested in pulling up/standing up/walking than Latham was at this age. And she's getting very good at standing and balancing on her own.
Her talking is adorable and can be quite loud. She says "mama," "dada," and "baba" frequently, along with other sounds. She's definitely associating "mama" with me and "dada" with Adam. If she wants the other one of us, she'll make it known. She's such a smarty pants.
And then sometimes she wants to get attention. She's not angry, but will just start talking LOUDLY until we are all paying attention. Latham hates this and covers his ears, exclaiming "Baby Gwendon is TOO LOUD!" Adam and I mostly laugh at that pronouncement, since we know she's heard her brother always being super loud.
This girl, though has been sick this month. She did start daycare, but we can't blame that alone. Teeth, sleep regression, etc...we don't know what it is, but this girl sometimes wears us out.
Despite the lack of sleep, this girl is amazing. Her smiles light up our life. She loves playing peek-a-boo and laughing, and we couldn't ask for anything more. My Gwendyl-baby is my sweetie pie.
